Live freely and lightly

Seriously, can there be a better way to live? you ask  your  self. God is saying keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly’ (Matthew 11:28-30 TM). I know I’m not perfect but everyday, I get to understand Him better and allow Him to worry in my place.

Just love

God is not saying you MUST do anything. Don’t be surprised. Thats why He saved us to freedom the first place (Galatians 5: 13), Thats why He wants us to live life in full (John 10: 10) . So we are not conditioned by MUST’s. He is saying if you love ME (john 14;15), if you love your neighbour as you love yourself (Galatians 5: 14) you would do the right things anyways. So He is only asking that you LOVE. For love is the greatest (1 corinthians 13:13). However, He knows we can’t LOVE on our own, so He provided the Holy Spirit, the enabler, to enable us (1 John 3: 24). So, as long as we believe in Jesus, we are capable of loving, of peace, of joy, of forbearance, of kindness, of goodness, of faithfulness, of gentleness and of self control (Galatians 5: 22-23).

A journey of trust

I was reading a blog on Tumblr. The writer wrote and I quote, “when fear gets a hold of my heart, I just know that I’m not trusting Him and I’m allowing myself to forget who He is”.

That’s the problem. We easily forget His mightiness. That He sits on the throne of heaven and as big as the earth is, it’s His foot stool. Isaiah 40:12 said He fits the waters of the earth into his palm. How awesome is that?

This same God that is so awesome is saying today, Trust me. Trust me with your whole heart. Don’t think about it “Lean not on your understand”. You don’t have to understand it, trust me. You don’t have to see it, trust me (Proverbs 3:5).  The odds are against trusting in your feelings anyways. Do you want to trust in your feelings that is so unstable that in one minute, you can feel more than 3 things; sad, happy, in love, heartbroken … or a God that never change ( Malachi 3:6; Revelations 4:8). You decide. You bother too much. It’s not your problem. It’s his. He says cast your burden on me. Don’t get bothered about it. I can imagine God saying “Give it to me for God sake”. It’s not your problem. Its mine, this is one of the reasons I died in the first place.

I know I have mentioned this example before. There has never been a better time to repeat this. Remember when you were little and you are going to cross the road, mom says bring your hand. You don’t ask questions. There is no need to doubt. She would take you to the other side. If she doesn’t  you know she’ll not leave your hand in the middle of the road to save herself. You know she would rather be hit by a car than a car touches you.

God is saying today again. Give me your hand. The same way you gave mom. I’ll guide you through. He is saying I would put myself on the line. I’ll get the car hits. Nothing shall be any means harm you (Luke 10:19). I wouldn’t leave you (Hebrew 13:5) just trust me. I wouldn’t. “The cars are coming too fast Lord”, don’t be anxious (Phil 4:6), don’t be afraid child (Heb 13:6) let’s keep on, I’ll see you through.

I know it’ll take some time, and however it is, there is nothing as powerful as a made up mind (Joyce Meyer). So, make up your mind not to quit, until you totally trust him and I can assure you, you wouldn’t regret it a bit. 1 Corinthians 1:8, I’ll keep you firm to the end.

Trust me, trust me, trust me, He is calling

Trust in The Lord (proverbs 3:5)

Trust in The Lord with all your heart(proverbs 3:5). Sometimes, it feels, and looks unreasonable to do so. I agree. But, look at what the other part of the verse says. Lean not on your understand, on your feelings, on your thoughts, your intelligence. Because His ways are not our ways, nor his thoughts ours (Isaiah 55:9). Do we want to trust in our feelings that is so unstable that in two seconds, we can have serval feelings or a God that never change (Malachi 3:6) ? You decide!
Hold on, hold on, trust God. He certainly knows what He is doing.

Delight in The Lord (Ps 37:4)

He’ll give you the desires of your heart(Psalm 37:4) when, you trust in him and do good(Ps 37:3), when you are relentless in doing good (Galatians 6:9). Also when you take delight in Him (Ps 37:4). Let me talk a bit about delighting in Him. See what Ps 37:23 has to say. God says, He’ll make your steps firm. That is, you’ll not fall. God isn’t saying that you wouldn’t face challenges, No! He is saying as long as you trust, have your foundation in Him, delight in Him, you wouldn’t fall. This reminds me of Peter. He choose to step out from the boat. At a point, he lost faith and started stumbling, started to sink. But, he did not drown. See what happened later, he became Jesus’s most ardent, passionate disciple.
So delight in, trust God, take that step, stumble and He’ll defiantly pick you up. You wouldn’t fall

Lord God of heaven, remind me that I am important to You and that I am loved by You, even if I don’t feel loved. Help me to learn that I am as important to You as any other Christian and that You love me as much as You love them. I thank You in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

A journey to walk through

I was going through Ephesians 2:10. Then I broke the verse into three sentences; we’re God’s masterpiece, we’re created in Christ Jesus for good works and God has prepared a journey that He wants us to walk through. I’ll concentrate on the last sentence “God has prepared a journey that He wants us to walk through”. One of those walk is that of light (Ephesians 5:8). Another is that we don’t walk like the “Gentiles”. We should remember we’re a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17) and we are God’s special possession(1 Peter 2:9) . Also, the walk of love. Ephesians 5:2 urges us to walk in love as Christ Jesus did. We can refer to 1 Corinthians 13: 4-7 on that. Lastly, the work of faith. He wants us to walk on water just like Peter did (Matthew 14: 22-33). Maybe not literally but by faith. To give it a try. To leave that boat and walk. To leave fear behind and walk. “It’ll not be easy but it’ll be worth it… waving behind at the boat” Joyce Meyer.

Prayer: May God give us the grace to walk according to His will in faith, love, light ’ righteousness , Amen.

Morning

Morning people,

I was going through John 5[6-9]; 4[47-51]. Am not going to quote it because it would be far more lines that I plan for. This two passages identifies two accomplishments of faith. If you noticed in 5[9], the man was filled with doubt but, he positioned himself in a place of miracle and he was healed. While in 4[50b] the official was without doubt but, he still needed to position himself in the place to see Jesus before his son was healed.

“Do you want to get well?” Jesus asked, You need to position yourself to be seen or move towards Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith Hebrews12 [2].

Have a lovely day.

Morning

Morning people,
I was going through the UCB Word for Today and  my attention was drawn to Joshua 1:5. [5] quotes “No one will be able to stand against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you”. So, my brethren put your confidence in God.  He has promised to be with you assuring you that he would always be with you. Why do you fear? I will end with this “..be strong and courageous … for the Lord…is with you ” 1 Chronicles 28[20]

Have a lovely day

Morning

Morning people. I was going through John 2: 9 - 10; the debate between the bridge groom and the master of the banquet. [10] quotes “Everyone brings out the choice wine first and then the cheaper wine after…”. God is not everyone. His ways are always different (Isaiah 55;8). (John 2:9-10) God always saves the best for last. So, keep hoping brothers and Sisters. Have a lovely day.
